Piramal Glass Q1 net up 75.71% to Rs 29.01 cr

Piramal Glass today said its consolidated net profit rose by 75.71% to Rs 29.01 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011, over the same period previous fiscal.

Piramal Glass today said its consolidated net profit rose by 75.71% to Rs 29.01 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011, over the same period previous fiscal.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 16.51 crore in the same period last financial year, Piramal Glass said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 317.22 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011, compared to Rs 278.32 crore in the year-ago period.

On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 19.23 crore for the June quarter, as against Rs 9.09 crore in the corresponding period previous fiscal.

Shares of Piramal Glass were trading at Rs 138.60 on the BSE in afternoon trade, up 0.54% from its previous close.
