Nagarjuna Oil Refinery's net profit rose by 12 percent year-on-year to Rs 22.8 crore in the third quarter of financial year 2012-13.
Net sales increased 12.4 percent to Rs 1,694 crore from Rs 1,507 crore during the same period.
Shares jumped 5.5 percent to close at Rs 5.21 amid heavy volumes on Bombay Stock Exchange.
Trading volumes went up 189 percent to 1,17,524 equity shares as against five day average of 40,654 shares.
