Entertainment Network India (ENIL) has reported a loss of Rs 5.24 crore for the quarter ended December 2010 as against profit after tax of Rs 2.5 crore in same period the previous year and Rs 1.1 crore in previous quarter.
Revenue went up by 25% to Rs 145.8 crore from Rs 116.8 crore (YoY) and up by 33% from Rs 110 crore (QoQ).
Earning before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was up by 107% Rs 36.27 crore versus Rs 17.6 crore (YoY) and up by 145% from Rs 14.8 crore (QoQ). Operating profit margin improved at 24.9% versus 14.4% (YoY) and 13.4% (QoQ).
The company incurred tax expense of Rs 9.98 crore as against gain of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Exceptional item for the quarter came in at a loss of Rs 17.9 crore.
