Trying to expand into road infrastructure business: NBCC

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Anoop Kumar Mittal, Chairman of NBCC (India) spoke about the Bharatmala Project.

Mittal said Bharatmala is primarily related to infrastructure and road network. However, we are not in national highway road but we are trying to expand into road infrastructure business, he added.

He further said that government is asking us to build motels and hotels so tourist length of Patna to Bodh Gaya is developed. Therefore, see a lot of opportunities going ahead.

Talking about business, he said NBCC has given contracts to NCC, Punj Lloyd for certain projects.

Have finalised the design for project in Wadala, Mumbai and will float tender for the project by December, he further mentioned.

On stake sell front, he said there is no discussion of stake sale by government in NBCC.
