Moneycontrol BureauRupee depreciation against dollar and yen, increase in steel, rubber, aluminium and copper prices are some of the factors for many of the car companies to hike prices. Tata Motors too has joined the league and will increase prices of its passenger vehicles starting from Rs 5,000 up to Rs 25,000 depending on the model, with effect from January 1, 2017.
Prices of passenger vehicles have been inflated due to various macro-economic factors, said Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business of Tata Motors.The company is also gearing up for its next launch of the HEXA in January, 2017.
