Resolving cases of alleged anti-competitive practices: CCI

On the matter of search engine Google's alleged anti-competitive practices, Ashok Chawla, Chairman, Competition Commission of India (CCI) said that it will take quite “some time” before there is any finality on the matter.


The fare trade regulator is looking to resolve five cases of alleged abuse of dominant position by online cab companies. Speaking to CNBC-TV18's Poornima Murali at an event in Bengaluru, Ashok Chawla, Chairman, Competition Commission of India (CCI), said that investigation is still underway on the companies “pricing their products much below their cost as to harm the competition”.

On the matter of search engine Google's alleged anti-competitive practices, Chawla said that it will take quite “some time” before there is any finality on the matter.

Meanwhile, he also commented on DLF's plan to sell DT Cinemas to PVR group.
