Godrej Aerospace inks 5-year contract with Safran Aircraft Engines for LEAP engine components

Godrej Enterprises Group’s Aerospace business on Friday announced that it has signed a five-year contract with Safran Aircraft Engines. Under the agreement, Godrej will manufacture titanium-based complex ventilation assemblies for LEAP engines, among the best-selling commercial aircraft engines worldwide.

The LEAP engines, developed by CFM International, power next-generation narrow-body aircraft. The partnership marks a significant step in advancing India’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities, with production involving complex machining, precision welding, and advanced non-destructive testing to meet the stringent standards of civil aviation.

"The complex ventilation assemblies are critical components located within the main turbine shaft of the engine, requiring advanced precision and stringent quality standards," the company said in a statement. "This contract strengthens Godrej Enterprises Group’s longstanding partnership with Safran and expands its role in supporting global aero-engine programs," the statement furher added.
