The Gitanjali Group on Monday signed an agreement with Emonte for selling Italian luxury pen brand 'Visconti' through its retail jewellery stores across the country on an exclusive basis.

"We are proud to be the exclusive partner in the jewellery retailing segment for this very high-end Italian brand. This new partnership will help us take a step forward in the sphere of luxury lifestyle retailing, where we are already offering consumers high-end Italian jewellery and watch brands," Gitanjali Group CMD Mehul Choksi said in a release.

By end July 2011, the first phase of Visconti pens will be available at 108 outlets of the Gitanjali Group, and by the end of FY11, they will be retailed through all the 600 plus jewellery stores across the country.

"We are happy to join hands with such a large group and one with a lot of experience and a proven track record in the sphere of lifestyle retailing.

Our high-end pens are as much a lifestyle statement as jewellery is today, and we believe that reaching out to consumers through jewellery stores will enhance the visibility and reach of our brand," Emonte CMD Rajeev Jain said.

Emonte have the exclusive marketing and distribution rights for Visconti in the markets of India and South East Asia.
