HP launches new digital offset press in Indian market

Hewlett-Packard, leader in the imaging and printing industry, today launched its first HP Indigo 7500 Digital Offset press for the Indian Market, by installing it at the Glo Digital Press here.

Hewlett-Packard, leader in the imaging and printing industry, today launched its first HP Indigo 7500 Digital Offset press for the Indian Market, by installing it at the Glo Digital Press here.

Claimed to be most flexible, technologically advanced high volume sheet fed digital printing solution in the market, the rs four crore Digital press can print upto 120 A4 pages per minute in full color or 240 ppm in either monochrome or two color, A Appadurai, Country Manager, HP Indigo and Inkjet Press Solutions, told reporters here.

The company aims to tap fresh opportunities in the Rs. 1,25,000 crore Indian printing industry, Appadurai said.

This technology will enable to offer anti-counterfeiting solutions which will save revenue loss of business of brand owners because of fake or spurious products, T S Ramanan, Managing Director, Glo Digital Press, said.

This also enabled green printing, the first of its kind, which helped protect the environment by reducing paper usage and completely eliminating chemicals, which were used in offset printing today, Ramanan said.
