Infrastructure major Larsen and Toubro today said its construction arm has won new orders valued over Rs 1,523 crore across various business segments, including building and water, in June.
"The Buildings & Factories IC (independent company), bagged new orders worth Rs 546 crore from reputed customers for the construction of commercial buildings and factory structures including additional orders in various ongoing jobs," the company said in a statement.
The Infrastructure IC secured orders valued at Rs 225 crore for the railway construction works consisting of doubling between Hospet to Harlapur on Hubli division of South Western Railway, it added.
This also includes orders for additional works in various ongoing infrastructure projects. The statement said the company's Water and Effluent Treatment business unit has secured turnkey project worth Rs 134 crore from Drinking Water & Sanitation Department of the Government of Jharkhand for operation and maintenance of water supply system at Sahibganj under the National Rural Drinking Water Programme.
Besides, its solar business has won order valued Rs 125 crore from a reputed developer for turnkey engineering, procurement and construction works of Solar PV systems of 10 MW capacity.
Its Power Transmission & Distribution IC secured new orders valued Rs 195 crore for industrial electrification work. The Minerals & Metals Strategic Business Group of Metallurgical & Material Handling IC secured orders worth Rs 298 crore which includes new and add-on orders from ongoing projects.
