State-run explorer Oil India may miss its target to produce 3.7 million tonne of crude oil in the current financial year ending March, its director for exploration and development BN Talukdar said.

"Earlier this fiscal there was some problem. Numaligarh refinery said it will be shut for 50 to 55 days, but the shutdown continued for about 90 days... so we had to reduce the supply and production," Talukdar said on Wednesday.

In the next financial year, the company targets to produce 3.76 million tonne of crude oil, he added.
