Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited (APNRL), a unit of Adhunik Group of Companies, will set up one Super Thermal Power plant in Jharkhand following the completion of the first project of 4 x 270 MW power plant at Padampur in Saraikela-Kharswan district.
"The proposal has been submitted to Jharkhand government about eight months ago. We are looking forward to sign a Memorandum of Understanding," Naresh Goyal, Senior Vice-President and Plant Head in Jharkhand told newsmen today.
He said the company has been searching for land in the state as the setting up of the plant in the ongoing project was not possible owing to non-availability of land.
Goyal said APNRL has proposal to enhance its capacity and plan to set up an additional over 1000 MW (2x660 MW) plant after the completion of the ongoing project of 4x270 MW (total 1080 MW) plant in Padampur in Kandra, about 25 kms from here.
Referring the ongoing project, he said the first unit of the ongoing project will be commissioned in the first quarter of 2012 and work was going on fast track to meet the deadline.
