If you are tired of your job and scouting for a 'new and improved' change, think over again. According to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, opportunities for job seekers are expected to be considerably weaker in the April-June period than it was a year ago.

Though the survey (of 5,370 employers) indicates that companies are optimistic about hiring in the second quarter of 2013, hiring prospects have weakened by 19 percentage points on a year-on-year basis. When compared with the previous quarter, employers report a 2 percentage point improvement in the outlook.

As per the survey, hiring in manufacturing sector may be hit the most. The only saving grace is that no sector employer is likely to cut jobs in the next three months.

"Employers in all industry sectors forecast an increase in staffing levels during Q2 2013. The strongest hiring prospects are reported in the transportation and utilities sector with a net employment outlook of +37%. Robust hiring plans are also evident in the services sector and the wholesale and retail trade sector, where outlooks stand at +32%. Hiring intentions are also positive in all four regions," the report said.

If you looking to migrate cities, here is what you need to consider. North India is likely to see more hiring prospects followed by West and South. For the third consecutive quarter, employers in the East report the least optimistic hiring intentions.

"When compared to the same time period an year ago, hiring plans weaken in all four regions," the survey also warned.
