Plan to enter newer markets: Wipro Lighting

Wipro Lighting and Furniture Business, a division of Wipro Ltd , plans to enter newer markets that are growing after the global financial crisis in 2008, reports The Economic Times, quoting a top company official. 

"The company plans to enter newer markets which are growing after the impact of global financial crisis in 2008. We need to wait and watch on how these markets grow after the crisis," Wipro Commercial Lighting and Furniture Business division Vice-President and Head Parag Kulkarni told reporters. 

However, he declined to divulge further details on the markets the company plans to enter. 

The company already has a presence in the Middle East and African markets.

The company reported 26 percent year-on-year growth in revenues during the quarter ending December 31, 2010.
