Henkel India MD Jayant Singh is exiting the firm two years after he took over as managing director, in a move that is being linked to the company's lukewarm performance in India over the past two years, reports The Economic Times.
The company has already appointed another joint MD to head the operations along with Singh till the time the latter's contract with the company ends.
An email by Henkel India said: "Jayant K Singh has resigned as MD and director of Henkel India with effect from February 22, 2011. It has been accepted by the Board." The statement adds that the firm has appointed Domenico Mammola, presently the CFO, as joint MD of Henkel India with effect from February 23, 2011, the report adds.
