Gold prices continued to rise on July 23. Gold's August contracts on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) opened at Rs 1,00,453 per 10 grams today.

"The rise was driven by mounting uncertainty surrounding global trade negotiations, which continued to weigh on US Treasury yields and the dollar. Market participants grew increasingly cautious as the 1st August tariff deadline set by President Donald Trump approached, heightening concerns over a possible breakdown in trade talks between the US and the EU," said Axis Securities in its report.
"Looking ahead, US Manufacturing and Services PMI data will be closely tracked for direction. In the near term, gold is expected to remain range-bound with MCX support at ₹98,500 and resistance near ₹1,00,500," said Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst - Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities.
