Avenue Supermarts a decent buy even now: Ashwani Gujral

Ashwani Gujral of ashwanigujral.com is of the view that Avenue Supermarts is a decent buy even at the current level.

Ashwani Gujral of ashwanigujral.com told CNBC-TV18, "Bliss GVS Pharma is a buy with a stop loss of Rs 164, target of Rs 176. Engineers India is a sell with a stop loss of Rs 152, target of Rs 144."

"Punjab National Bank is a sell with a stop loss of Rs 146, target of Rs 134," he added.

"Just one point on D-Mart, once something opens 100 percent higher, there should be a lot of selling which should come in and people should be getting out. But here we saw that it went down Rs 15 and now, is making fresh highs which means that the initial selling has been absorbed and now this could scale up fairly higher levels from here. So, even now, Avenue Supermarts is a fairly decent buy because on most IPOs, stocks open higher and then tend to see profit booking."

"Now we are trading above the listing high also, so that becomes some kind of a support. Even here, people will be surprised with what this stock does because the demand is so strong that even at 100 percent higher, buying is coming in."

"Each time YES Bank goes up, this qualified institutional placement (QIP) issue comes back on the table. So, it is a strong bank, closer to Rs 1,440-1,450 is a good place to get into and given that banks have corrected quite bit, at some point, this is one of the stronger banks that people should get into."

"Idea Cellular is kind of pausing at about Rs 90-92. If it has to reverse, this is the place. But if it cannot get past Rs 100 then chances are at some point, it will break levels of Rs 90 and go lower maybe to Rs 75-76. So, Idea is not a very strong buy right now," he added.
