Apollo Defence Industries, a subsidiary of Apollo Micro Systems Ltd, has completed the acquisition of IDL Explosives Ltd from GOCL Corporation Ltd, the holding company of IDL Explosives.
Following the transaction, IDL Explosives has become a step-down subsidiary of Apollo Micro Systems, the company said in a regulatory filing.
IDL Explosives operates manufacturing facilities in Rourkela and other locations. Apollo Group said it aims to expand and strengthen the business in line with its strategic plans in the defence explosives segment.
Apollo Micro Systems, founded in 1985 and based in Hyderabad, provides high-performance, mission-critical solutions for the defence sector.
For the quarter ended September 2025, the company reported a net profit of Rs 33 crore, more than double the Rs 15.9 crore posted in the same period last year. Revenue from operations rose 40 per cent year-on-year to Rs 225 crore.
Shares of the company settled lower at Rs 274.10 per share on the NSE, down 1.7 percent.
