Sobhita Dhulipala, who tied the knot with Naga Chaitanya last year, recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the Akkineni family – including Nagarjuna, Amala, and Naga Chaitanya – at the Parliament House to present him with a book paying tribute to Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR). For the occasion, Sobhita and Naga chose to go back to their roots and picked ethnic outfits.

Sobhita looked ethereal in a timeless white traditional saree paired with a golden blouse. The saree featured hints of gold in the print and border. To accessorise, the actress wore dainty baalis, rings, and a gold bracelet. She kept her makeup and hair simple for a more natural look.

Meanwhile her husband, Naga Chaitanya, looked handsome in a dark-toned bandhgala that fit him to perfection. He sported a white Chinese-collar shirt underneath and added a white pocket square to complete the ensemble.

Sobhita took to her Instagram to share the pictures from the meeting and captioned them as, “Profoundly thankful to Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi ji for today’s meeting at Parliament House. It was an honour to present ‘Akkineni Ka Virat Vyaktitva’ by Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, a tribute to ANR garu’s cinematic heritage. Your recognition of his life’s work is a treasured affirmation for our family, fans and Indian movie lovers."

She continued, “PS: Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore kondapalli bommalu (dancing dolls), their memories trace back to my childhood years in my grandparents’ home in Tenali. So happy to be able to gift him one, and to find that he knows all about this old handicraft and its nativity to Andhra Pradesh :)️”

Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya got married in a traditional South Indian ceremony last year. For the wedding, Sobhita wore classic traditional sarees in white and gold with timeless Indian accessories, while Naga looked radiant in an off-white ensemble with a traditional stole. Throughout the wedding festivities, Sobhita embraced her cultural heritage by wearing sarees that reflected her roots.
