Bollywood celebs have always taken fitness seriously. For them, it’s not just about working out at the gym but also about taking care of their diet. While everyone these days is talking about proteins, Kajol, on her Prime Video talk show ‘Two Much’, mentioned a protein shake recipe that she swears by, which didn’t exactly get the same reaction from her co-host Twinkle Khanna and her guests, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan.
Kajol’s protein shake recipe
On the show, Kajol and Twinkle took Aamir and Salman to their grazing table, serving them different delicacies. That’s when Kajol shared, “I have my very own protein shake recipe, which is some eggs, almond milk, and orange juice.” Twinkle replied, “It sounds disgusting,” but Kajol convinced everyone that it’s actually quite tasty.
Listening to her ingredients, Salman joked that eggs should only be eaten as eggs. On Kajol’s insistence, however, Aamir tried it first, and his reaction was far from it being delicious. He declared, “This must be 100% healthy.” Salman also gave it a shot and declared, “This will 100% upset my stomach.”
Besides eggs, Kajol’s recipe doesn’t seem to contain much protein. Almond milk is not considered as rich in protein as cow’s milk, and orange juice is more a source of vitamin C and antioxidants than protein.
However, if you’re looking for a protein beverage, then Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar, who is a lifestyle influencer, may have the most trendy, delicious, and nutritious one for you.
Sara Tendulkar’s matcha protein smoothie
Ingredients: In the caption of her Instagram video, Sara wrote, “1–2 pitted dates, 1 scoop vanilla protein, 1 scoop collagen peptides, 1 tsp matcha powder, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1–2 tbsp unsweetened almond butter, and ice.”

Sara started by adding all the ingredients into a blender one after another in the specified quantities, stating how just one cup of this beverage will help you “sip your skincare and fuel your muscles.” She blended the mix and poured it into a glass.
In the end, Sara also listed its health benefits, sharing, “Dates are rich in fibre and potassium; protein helps in muscle growth and repair; collagen peptides support skin elasticity and improve joint and gut health; and matcha is rich in antioxidants and provides energy.”
Her beverage contains about 35 grams of protein, is packed with antioxidants, and gives you steady energy.
