Designer Manish Malhotra, who created the saree, praised the actress in an Instagram post, writing, “Iconic and the one and only #REKHA, regal and stunning in a traditional pure classic black and gold Kanjeevaram saree, worn years ago and worn again with a Bordeaux vintage velvet blouse, inspired by the traditional Sadri, adorned with intricate gold Zardozi embroidery, which was hand-embroidered by us at our atelier.”
