Priyanka Chopra’s love for the camera has only grown over the years. From childhood to now, the actress’ fascination with being photographed in different looks remains constant. She recently shared snippets from her life, reflecting on her fashion journey - from being a baby to becoming a fresh-faced movie star.
The first few pictures she shared were from her childhood, where she was fashionably dressed in her mom’s sunnies and Indian sarees. Priyanka jokingly wrote, ‘Always been a desi girl.’ The next few snaps, taken on her birthdays as a young girl, showed her in pretty frocks of various styles. One photo captured her on a family holiday in Leh, wearing a funky red jacket, while another saw her in a solid green co-ord set alongside her brother.
The next set showcased her as a ‘lanky teenager’ wearing a skirt while sipping Cola from a fancy glass. For the unversed, she later moved to Boston, where she revealed she underwent a major style transformation. Her pictures from 1997 captured her in crop tops, trendy bottoms, and shorts.
The actress then shared pictures from her first-ever modelling shoot, where she did her own hair and makeup and wore an embellished midnight blue halter-neck gown. This was followed by her first portfolio picture from 1999, her Miss India portrait taken by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar, and a snapshot of her as a Miss India contestant.
Finally, there were glamorous pictures from her early days as a movie star to the time she starred in Dostana (2008), which was filmed in Miami. She wrote, “Baby steps into movies. Paper clipping my grandma saved of the mahurat of a shelved film called Asar with @ajaydevgn and the late Yusuf Sahib approx. 2002.” She continued, “Dostana Miami post shoot shenanigans…Why? Don’t ask! 2008.”
Recently, Priyanka stole the spotlight by wearing some of the most stylish outfits by Indian designers at her brother’s wedding. From a stunning cocktail gown at the mehendi to an aqua shimmery lehenga on the big day, the actress turned heads. Her husband looked equally dapper in his ensembles.
