Kajol looked stunning in a classic white saree with a beautifully embroidered black border. She matched the flawless drape with a sequin black blouse, adding glitter to her birthday look.
The actress charmed the onlookers with her style, accessorising the traditional fit with statement earrings and a ring. Her side-parted hairstyle gave her a glamorous look, while her fresh, dewy makeup enhanced her beauty.
The backstory behind her outfit was shared by Radhika Mehra, Kajol’s stylist, who wrote in her Instagram story, “Kajol in a timeless saree from her mother’s collection, repurposed with love for her Maharashtra State Award today, on her birthday.”
Kajol was honoured, and deservedly so, with the Raj Kapoor award for her outstanding contribution to cinema. The actress took to her Instagram account and expressed gratitude for the love.
She wrote, “Walking the same stage my mother once did, and on my birthday, no less… feels like the universe reminding me where I come from and who I carry with me always.”
Kajol was accompanied to the awards by her mother, who was equally thrilled by her accomplishment. The actress gave her speech in Marathi, which was received with thunderous applause from the audience.
