Bollywood divas are giving a contemporary twist to classic traditional pieces. While there may be a great love for heirloom and heritage designs, these are being reimagined with modern styles for relatability. Fusion pieces include Indo-western outfits featuring age-old embroidery on new silhouettes or modern cuts in ethnic sets, creating looks that are both unique and trendy.

Khushi Kapoor’s off-shoulder top paired with a dhoti-style skirt exemplifies this trend. The actress donned a Torani baingani ensemble, with the corset featuring traditional embroidery and sequin work in multiple rich hues. She styled it with contemporary accessories, including a matching necklace, earrings, and a heart-shaped bag.

For her television appearance, Malaika Arora looked stunning in a black liquid jersey saree by label 431-88. The saree featured a gathered drape at the centre, with the pallu attached to the waistline and draped over the shoulders in a modern style. It was paired with a stylish white crop top and traditional emerald jewels, adding an Indian touch.

Bhumi Pednekar declared herself ‘dinner ready’ in a sensuous sari gown. The outfit stood out for its detailed geometric work on the blouse, which extended down as a strip on the fishtail-style skirt. This ensemble beautifully blended the classic and contemporary.

To promote her upcoming film, Kiara Advani slipped into a gorgeous ivory corset and draped skirt set. The corset was embroidered with a ‘berry bel’ motif and paired with a stole featuring floral motifs and tassels. Her subtle yet chic glam game was understated but elegant.

The ‘dhak dhak’ girl, Madhuri Dixit Nene, was a vision in a shimmery black bustier paired with a delicately embroidered skirt in black. The monochrome set was styled with a modern white fringe cape. The silhouette flowed naturally, making her look every inch the style diva.
