Bald patches can arise from a range of causes like temporary stress-induced hair fall (telogen effluvium) and hormonal changes to chronic issues like alopecia areata, thyroid disorders, or scalp infections. The key to effective treatment lies in identifying the root cause, says Siddhanth Agarwal, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Avimee Herbal. “Temporary baldness often shows signs of diffuse thinning, shedding, or patches that regrow over time. These are commonly triggered by post-illness recovery (such as after COVID-19), nutritional deficiencies, or stress,” he adds.
