When it comes to festive fashion, black colour continues to rule. Sophisticated and striking, this timeless classic never fails to make a bold statement. It’s a colour that flatters every silhouette and suits every occasion. Be it a casual dinner, a glam night out, or a traditional celebration, a black saree guarantees unmatched elegance.

B-Town beauties recently turned up the glam at the sangeet ceremony of Sangeeta Singh’s daughter, Dr Meghna Singh, dazzling in stunning black sarees - each one strikingly different from the other.

Sushmita Sen walked into the venue looking every bit graceful in a pre-stitched black saree with trendy frills along the hem. She personified elegance, accessorising her outfit with a silver brooch, delicately designed emerald and diamond jewellery, and a silver clutch.

Her makeup game was equally strong. The actress went high on glam with a dewy, radiant base highlighted in shades of pink. Her straightened hair was curled to perfection. What stood out, as always, was her confidence and smile.

Vaani Kapoor caught everyone’s eye — not just as the host of the evening, but also for exuding charm in a bold black saree adorned with contrasting white floral embroidery. The elegant border added to its beauty. She paired the six-yard drape with a contemporary blouse.

The actress elevated her ensemble with a dazzling pearl choker and bracelet. Under the glimmering lights, her makeup popped in glossy, radiant pink tones. She sported a small bindi enhancing the traditional touch, while a sleek bun gave her look a sharp finish.

Finally, Shilpa Shetty stole hearts in her concept black saree. The stunning beauty’s shimmery silhouette hugged her lean frame perfectly and was styled with a multi-hued, strapless blouse.

Shilpa’s jewellery was a show-stealer — a modern black choker featuring an emerald stone and diamonds at the centre, along with matching earrings and a ring. She carried a green clutch, which complemented her outfit beautifully.

While all three actresses wore black sarees, each look was distinct and individual. Their styles serve as major inspiration for anyone looking to dress up in black for festive occasions — a colour that’s both easy to carry and style.
