Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a lasting impression on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet with her striking outfits. However, an equally stunning unseen look has now surfaced online.

The actress rocked a boss-lady aesthetic in a monochrome soft mauve suit with a relaxed fit. The single-buttoned blazer, featuring satin lapels, looked tailor-made for her figure. It was layered over a matching V-neck blouse and wide-legged trousers.

She looked fresh in the three-piece ensemble, catching the internet’s fancy with her timeless beauty. She kept her accessories minimal, opting for just a sparkling ring. Her makeup was pitch-perfect with a flawless base and her signature red lip, while her hair was styled in lush curls.

For her first Cannes appearance this year, Aishwarya dazzled in an ethereal white Banarasi saree by Manish Malhotra with a tissue drape, accessorised beautifully with rubies.

Detailing the outfit, Manish wrote, "The OG Indian Queen of Cannes @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb embraces Classic White Handloom in a handwoven kadwa ivory Banarasi saree with a handwoven tissue drape and imperial heirloom of rubies from @manishmalhotrajewellery.”

Aishwarya Rai’s stunning saree was handwoven by the craftsman of Varanasi, honouring the Indian textiles. The attire was woven with the Kadwa brocade technique, showcasing the exceptional skill of Indian weavers. Her next red carpet appearance was in a dramatic black Gaurav Gupta gown with a brocade cape featuring a Sanskrit shloka—marking a stark departure from the first look.

Sharing the thought behind the design, Gaurav wrote, "@aishwaryaraibachchan_arb wears the ‘Heiress of Calm’, a custom creation imagined in a draped form and spiritual detail. The gown is hand-embroidered with an abstract rendition of the cosmos in bursts of silver, gold, charcoal, and black, accented with micro glass crystals to capture dimension and light.”

He added, "Enveloping her is a Banarasi brocade cape handwoven in Varanasi, India, inscribed with a Sanskrit shloka from the Bhagavad Gita: 'You have a right to perform your actions, but not to the fruits of those actions. Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction.'"
