Aditi Rao Hydari has always looked graceful in Indian wear, and her recent appearance in a multi-hued Anarkali was no exception. The actress, who wowed the audience with her charm in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat, impressed once again in the age-old classic silhouette.

She wore Torani’s Dil Rang Zareen Anarkali from the Juloos collection, a piece that symbolised royal inheritance. The slub silk panels featured florals in pink, yellow, and green, lending the ensemble a vibrant visual appeal. Paired with a churidar and a navi organza dupatta that fell like night over a garden in bloom, the look showcased Indian craft at its finest, withstanding the test of time.

Sharing the pictures, the designer’s handle shed light on the history of Anarkali, describing it as a silhouette that has evolved over time while preserving its essence.

“Anarkali has always lived at the intersection of history and romance. First named after the courtesan whose legend outlived her life, it became a silhouette that carried the language of the Mughal courts… of poetry recited in candlelit halls, of kathak performed on marble floors. A garment that spoke of grace without effort, of beauty that did not demand but endured. Over centuries, it travelled through regions and seasons, finding new fabrics, new hands to embroider it, but never losing its essence of fluidity, movement, an unbroken line between past and present,” their caption read.

Styled by Sonam Ratnasi, the look came alive with traditional gold earrings that enhanced the ensemble’s beauty. Her solitaire ring caught attention for its size and sparkle. Aditi’s makeup was kept soft and subtle, with neatly done eyes, brushed-up brows, and pink lips. Her hair was styled in loose romantic waves, complementing the dreamy vibe of her Anarkali.

Aditi Rao Hydari looked like a vision in the ensemble, carrying the “stillness of someone who knows that fashion, at its truest, is about remembrance.” This stunning piece also marks the return of the classic Anarkali this festive season.
