People often imagine celebrity skincare as an endless list of high-tech treatments, expensive facials, and futuristic gadgets. But behind the scenes, many well-known faces still lean on age-old home remedies --the same ones passed down by grandmothers for generations.

What’s interesting about these celebrity-approved beauty hacks is that they’ve stood the test of time. With most of the ingredients already sitting in your kitchen, these are some easy to try beauty secrets without breaking a sweat.

1.   For a natural glow, a classic ubtan remains a favourite. Priyanka Chopra has openly shared her family’s ubtan recipe made with gram flour, turmeric and a little sandalwood, mentions Natasha Tuli, Co-Founder of Soulflower. She says, “At home, you can mix these ingredients with raw milk or honey. This blend brightens dull skin, softens texture and adds a fresh, healthy sheen before any big event.”

2.   For fine lines and sagging skin, multani mitti continues to be a celebrity go-to, informs Tuli and adds, “Alia Bhatt has spoken about using it for clearer, brighter skin. When paired with aloe gel or rosewater, it gently tightens and firms the skin while keeping it hydrated. Use it once or twice a week for a smoother, lifted feel.”

3.   To maintain an ageless glow, sandalwood paste has always been trusted. Mix sandalwood powder with rosewater and apply as a thin mask. It calms redness, cools the skin and gives that soft, camera friendly luminosity that many celebrities rely on for shoots.

4.   For acne scar fading, actress Adah Sharma has mentioned multani mitti baths as part of her own routine. Tuli gives a simple DIY solution, “You can make a simple spot remedy with sandalwood and a touch of lemon juice or tomato pulp. Add honey if your skin feels dry. It gently fades marks without irritation.”

5.   Actor Malaika Arora too has shared her beauty secret on Instagram and given a step by step guide on her home made coffee scrub for exfoliation. The actress recommends mixing leftover coffee ground with some brown sugar and coconut oil. It serves as an easy, instant and aromatic home scrub. The caffeine in the coffee has potent antioxidants that help protect skin from sun damage and helps promote overall skin health.

They combine natural exfoliation, antioxidants, and soothing ingredients that support skin health without harsh steps.
