WBSSC SLST Recruitment 2025: Notification Out for 35726 Assistant Teacher Vacancies; check details here

The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has released the official notification for the 2nd State Level Selection Test (SLST) for the recruitment of Assistant Teachers. A total of 35,726 vacancies have been announced for teaching positions in Secondary (Classes IX–X) and Higher Secondary (Classes XI–XII) schools across West Bengal.

The notification was published on 30 May 2025. The application process will be conducted online at the official website www.westbengalssc.com from 16 June 2025 (5 PM) and will close on 14 July 2025 (5 PM). Candidates must complete the fee payment by 14 July 2025 (11:59 PM).

Out of the total 35,726 vacancies:

• 23,212 posts are for Assistant Teachers in Classes IX–X (Secondary)
• 12,514 posts are for Assistant Teachers in Classes XI–XII (Higher Secondary)

The application fee for WBSSC SLST 2025 varies by category. Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories will need to pay Rs 500, while those from the SC, ST, or PH categories will need to pay Rs 200. This fee is applicable for both Secondary (Classes IX–X) and Higher Secondary (Classes XI–XII) level posts. All payments must be made online, either through internet banking, debit/credit card, or using an e-challan at designated bank branches.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Assistant Teacher posts will be based on five stages, with a total of 100 marks. These stages are designed to assess a candidate’s academic qualifications, teaching experience, and performance in various evaluation rounds.
