The Uttar Pradesh government has officially released the UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025 notification. This announcement opens the doors for a massive recruitment drive to fill 41,424 Home Guard positions across the state.

Scheduled to commence on November 18, 2025, the online application process is expected to draw applications from lakhs of candidates, making it one of the most significant government recruitments in Uttar Pradesh in recent years. The initiative is designed to strengthen the state's security apparatus, enhance disaster management capabilities, and bolster law and order.

UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility parameters are designed to be accessible, opening the opportunity for a wide range of candidates.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed at least the 10th standard (Matriculation) from a recognized board.

Age Limit (as on July 1, 2025):

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years

Physical Standards:

• Male Candidates: Height - 168 cm (with relaxations for reserved categories)
• Female Candidates: Height - 152 cm

The selection of candidates will be a multi-stage process, focusing on both knowledge and physical fitness.

Written Examination: This will be an OMR-based objective test comprising 100 questions on General Knowledge, carrying 100 marks. The time allotted will be 2 hours.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

• Male Candidates: 4.8 km race to be completed within 28 minutes.
• Female Candidates: 2.4 km race to be completed within 16 minutes.
• Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates must present their original documents for verification.

A One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for all applicants. Ensure you have a valid mobile number, email ID, and a DigiLocker account ready.
