SSC has released the Stenographer Grade C and D Result 2025, shortlisting 31,080 candidates for the Skill Test. Candidates can check the merit lists, cut-offs and next steps on the SSC website.

The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Result 2025. A total of 31,080 candidates have qualified for the Stenography Skill Test based on the Computer-Based Test, which was evaluated using the final answer keys after resolving all objections.

According to the Commission, 8,624 candidates have cleared the Grade C cut-off, while 22,456 candidates have qualified for Grade D. The recruitment process is being held to fill 1,590 vacancies across central ministries and departments.

Along with the results, SSC has published the cut-off marks and the lists of debarred, rejected and withheld candidates. Candidates have been advised to check their individual status carefully.

Grade C

  • UR: 2,187
  • OBC: 2,620
  • SC: 1,214
  • ST: 470
  • EWS: 1,083

Grade D

  • UR: 4,159
  • OBC: 7,685
  • SC: 3,468
  • ST: 1,688
  • EWS: 2,880

How to check SSC Stenographer Result 2025

Candidates can download the PDF of the result by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in
  2. Go to the “Results” section on the homepage.
  3. Select “Stenographer” under the results tab.
  4. Click on “Stenographer Grade C 2025 Result” or “Stenographer Grade D 2025 Result”.
  5. The result PDF will open with roll numbers and category-wise details.
  6. Use Ctrl+F to search your roll number.
  7. Download and save the PDF for future reference.

What Happens Next

Candidates who have made it to the merit list will now appear for the Stenography Skill Test, which is qualifying in nature.

  • For Grade C, the dictation speed required is 100 words per minute.
  • For Grade D, the required speed is 80 words per minute.

The final selection will depend on the performance in the CBT, qualification in the Skill Test and successful completion of document verification. SSC is expected to announce the Skill Test schedule and release the admit cards soon on its official website.
