The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the much-anticipated SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2025, releasing comprehensive state-wise and force-wise vacancy details. A total of 25,487 vacancies for Constable (General Duty) and Rifleman posts have been declared across various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Assam Rifles, and the Special Security Force (SSF).

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th Class (Matriculation) from a recognized board or institution.

Age Limit (as of 01 January 2026): 18 to 23 years. The candidate must not have been born before 02 January 2003 and after 01 January 2008.

Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government norms (OBC: 3 years, SC/ST: 5 years, Ex-Servicemen: 3 years).

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in Level-3 of the pay matrix with a salary range of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100, along with applicable allowances.

The SSC GD Constable 2025 selection will be rigorous and multi-staged:

Computer Based Test (CBT): An objective-type online test of 80 questions (160 marks) covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Includes running tests (5 km in 24 mins for Men, 1.6 km in 8.5 mins for Women, with relaxations for specific regions).

Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of Height, Chest (for males), and Weight.

Medical Examination: A thorough medical check to ensure fitness for duty.
