The State Bank of India (SBI) has declared the results for the Clerk Preliminary Examination 2025 on its official website sbi.co.in. The exam was held on 20, 21, and 27 September 2025 for the recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales).
Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their results through the ‘Careers’ section of the SBI website. The result has been released in PDF format, listing the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates. Those whose roll numbers appear in the list have qualified for the next stage, the Main Examination.
Next Step
Candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam will now appear for the Main Examination. SBI has confirmed that the final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the mains, along with qualification in the Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
The LPT ensures that selected candidates have adequate knowledge of the local language of the state they applied for, as the role involves regular interaction with customers.
Vacancies
This year, SBI is recruiting for 6,589 Junior Associate vacancies across various branches in India. Given the large number of applicants, the competition for these positions remains high. The cutoff marks are expected to reflect the competitive nature of this recruitment drive.
For those who did not qualify
Candidates who did not make it to the shortlist are advised not to lose hope. SBI conducts Clerk recruitment almost every year, offering fresh opportunities. Analysing past performance and revising preparation strategies can help improve results in future attempts.
