The State Bank of India (SBI) has started accepting applications for the recruitment of Circle Based Officers (CBO) for the year 2025. A total of 2964 vacancies are available across different circles of the bank. The registration process began on May 9, 2025, and will remain open until May 29, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official SBI website at sbi.co.in.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, candidates must hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. Degrees such as Engineering, Medicine, Chartered Accountancy, and Cost Accountancy are also considered valid.
Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years of age as on April 30, 2025. Only those born between May 1, 1995, and April 30, 2004, including both dates, are eligible. Proficiency in the local language of the circle being applied to is also required.
Selection Process
The selection process includes an online test, followed by screening and an interview. The online test consists of two parts: an objective test carrying 120 marks, lasting two hours, and a descriptive test worth 50 marks, which follows immediately and lasts for 30 minutes. Candidates who pass the online test will move on to the next stages.
Application Fee
Candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay a fee of Rs 750. Candidates from SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempt from the fee. Payment must be made online through debit card, credit card, or internet banking.
