The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have issued a reminder for candidates applying for the NTPC 12th Level (UG) Vacancies 2025. Today, December 4, 2025, marks the last date for submitting online applications for various clerical and commercial posts under the Railway Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment drive. Aspirants who have not yet applied are urged to complete the process immediately on their respective RRB regional websites.

According to the official notification, while the application window closes today, the last date for payment of the application fee is December 6, 2025. Furthermore, the board has announced a crucial form correction period from December 7 to December 16, 2025. Candidates should note that a nominal correction fee will be applicable for making amendments during this window.

Key Details of RRB NTPC 12th Level Vacancy 2025

This recruitment drive aims to fill 3,058 vacancies across multiple posts for candidates who have passed the 12th standard (UG Level). The vacancies are distributed across 21 Railway Recruitment Boards in India.

Post-wise Vacancy & Eligibility Breakdown:

• Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk: 2,424 Vacancies

Qualification: 12th pass with minimum 50% marks. The minimum marks requirement is waived for SC, ST, and PwBD (Divyang) candidates, for whom 12th pass is sufficient.

• Accounts Clerk Cum Typist: 394 Vacancies

Qualification: 12th pass. Must possess a typing skill of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.

• Junior Clerk Cum Typist: 163 Vacancies

Qualification: 12th pass with minimum 50% marks (waived for SC/ST/PwBD). Requires typing skill of 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi.

• Train Clerk: 77 Vacancies

Qualification: 12th pass with minimum 50% marks (waived for SC/ST/PwBD).

Age Limit & Selection Process

The minimum age to apply is 18 years, and the maximum is 30 years as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

The selection will be a multi-stage process:

• Computer-Based Test (CBT) 1 & 2: Both stages will be common for all posts.
• Typing Skill Test: Mandatory for Accounts Clerk Cum Typist and Junior Clerk Cum Typist posts, to be conducted after CBT-2.
• Negative Marking: CBT exams will have a penalty of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.

Exam Pattern

First Stage CBT: 100 questions (General Awareness-40, Mathematics-30, General Intelligence & Reasoning-30) to be solved in 90 minutes.

Second Stage CBT: 120 questions (General Awareness-50, Mathematics-35, General Intelligence & Reasoning-35) to be solved in 90 minutes.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the second stage CBT at 15 times the community-wise vacancy per RRB.

Application Fee:

General/OBC: Rs 500 (Out of this, Rs 400 will be refunded after appearing in CBT-1).

SC/ST/PwBD/Female/EWS/EBC: Rs 250 (Full amount will be refunded after appearing in CBT-1).
