RRB Group D Exam Date 2025 Announced; Check full schedule here

RRB has announced the Group D exam dates for 2025. The CBT will begin on 17 November and continue till December. Admit cards and city slips will be issued before the exam.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the official exam schedule for the RRB Group D Recruitment 2025. As per the notification under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 08/2024, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for Level 1 posts will begin on 17 November 2025 and continue through December 2025. The exam will be held in multiple phases across various zones of Indian Railways.

A total of 32,438 vacancies are to be filled through this recruitment drive. These posts fall under different departments of Indian Railways and include roles that support daily operations and maintenance.

Exam Schedule and Format

The CBT will be conducted in multiple shifts to accommodate the large number of applicants. The test will include questions from the following subjects:

  • General Science
  • Mathematics
  • General Awareness
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning

The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. There will be a penalty of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.

Admit Card and City Intimation Slip

Candidates are advised to regularly check their respective regional RRB websites for updates. The city intimation slip, which mentions the exam city and date, will be issued approximately 10 days before the exam. The admit card will be available for download four days prior to the scheduled exam date.

For example, candidates appearing on 17 November 2025 can expect their city slip by 7 November and admit card by 13 November. Both documents are compulsory for entry into the examination centre and must be accompanied by a valid photo ID.

Selection Process

The recruitment process for RRB Group D 2025 will be carried out in the following stages:

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): Candidates will first appear for the CBT to test their knowledge in the specified subjects.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Those who qualify the CBT will be required to pass the PET, which assesses physical fitness.
  3. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will have to present educational and identity documents for verification.
  4. Medical Examination: Final selection will depend on passing a medical fitness test to ensure suitability for railway duties.

Candidates should keep checking their regional RRB websites for updates regarding the city intimation slip and admit card. Travel and accommodation should be planned only after receiving the city slip. On the day of the exam, candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID.
