The Odisha Police Recruitment Board has announced a recruitment drive for 933 Sub-Inspector (SI) and other positions. The recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies across various departments, including 609 Sub-Inspector of Police, 253 Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed), 47 Station Officers (Fire Service), and 24 Assistant Jailors.

Online applications will be accepted from January 20, 2025, to February 10, 2025, through the official website of the Odisha Police Recruitment Board at odishapolice.gov.in. Interested and eligible candidates can access the application form and detailed notification on the website.

Key Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • They must possess good moral character and sound health.
  • Proficiency in the Odia language is mandatory, including the ability to speak, read, and write.
  • Educational qualifications include passing the ME school or higher examinations with Odia as a subject, passing the HSC examination with Odia as a medium in non-language subjects, or passing a written test in Odia conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha.
  • Applicants cannot have more than one living spouse.
  • A clean criminal record is a prerequisite.
Age Limit
  • The minimum age requirement is 21 years, and the maximum age is 25 years as of January 1, 2024.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC categories, women, and ex-servicemen.

Important Note: Persons with disabilities are not eligible to apply for these positions.
