KVS NVS Recruitment 2025

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the recruitment notification for a massive number of teaching and non-teaching positions in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS) for the year 2025. This combined recruitment drive is set to fill thousands of vacancies across the country.

The online application process for KVS NVS Recruitment 2025 will commence tomorrow, November 14, 2025, and will remain open until December 4, 2025. Candidates are advised to mark these crucial dates to avoid missing the application window.

While a detailed notification specifying the exact number of vacancies and post-wise age limits is expected later today or tomorrow, the recruitment is projected to include a "bumper" number of posts for roles such as TGT, PGT, and PRT teachers, along with various non-teaching positions.

Major Change in Selection Process

A key update in this recruitment cycle is the revision of the selection methodology. Moving away from the previous system, the KVS NVS Recruitment 2025 will feature a three-tier selection process.

The new selection stages are:

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Interview

This new pattern, approved by the Union Ministry of Education, aims to ensure a more comprehensive assessment of candidates. This change follows a previous update in December 2022, which first introduced computer-based testing for teacher recruitments in KVS.

Tentative Eligibility Criteria

Based on available information, here is a tentative look at the eligibility for the Primary Teacher (PRT) post. The detailed notification will provide specific criteria for all posts.

Educational Qualification for PRT: Candidates should have passed 12th class with a minimum of 50% marks and possess a Two-Year Diploma in Elementary Education OR a Four-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Additionally, passing the CTET Paper-1 is mandatory for all teaching posts.

Age Limit (Tentative for PRT): The maximum age limit is expected to be 30 years. As per government norms, age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates is applicable.

The final and official details regarding the exact number of vacancies, post-wise educational qualifications, age limits, and application fees will be available in the comprehensive notification. Candidates are strongly advised to read the detailed advertisement thoroughly before applying.
