The HSSC CET 2025 will be conducted in the form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). A total of 100 questions will be asked in the exam, carrying 100 marks in total. The duration of the test will be 1 hour and 45 minutes.

To qualify, candidates in the General Category must score at least 50%, while those in the Reserved Categories need to score a minimum of 40%.

This year’s CET comes with a few important changes that candidates should be aware of. Firstly, the CET score will now remain valid for 3 years, allowing candidates more time to apply for various government posts without retaking the exam. Secondly, ten times the number of advertised vacancies will be shortlisted for the screening test, which is a significant increase from the earlier four times.

Another major change is the removal of the 5 additional marks previously awarded based on socio-economic criteria. These marks will no longer be included in the selection process. Lastly, the CET will now be used for recruitment not only in general departments but also in the Haryana Police, Jail Department, and Home Guard.

Candidates are advised to carefully read all instructions mentioned on the admit card and reach the examination centre well before time.
