The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is closing its application window today for the recruitment of 1161 Constable Tradesman posts. This recruitment drive offers opportunities for both male and female candidates in various trades, including cook, cobbler, tailor, barber, washerman, painter, carpenter, electrician, gardener, welder, charge mechanic, and MP attendant. Interested candidates must submit their applications by April 3, 2025, as no extensions are expected.

Out of the 1161 available posts, the cook trade has the highest number of vacancies, with 493 positions. Among these, 400 are for male candidates, 44 for female candidates, and 49 for ex-servicemen. The cobbler trade has 9 positions, with 7 allocated for males, 1 for females, and 1 for ex-servicemen. Similarly, there are 23 vacancies for tailors, with 19 for males, 2 for females, and 2 for ex-servicemen.

The washerman trade has a total of 262 vacancies, distributed as 212 for males, 24 for females, and 26 for ex-servicemen. The carpenter trade has 9 positions, including 7 for males, 1 for females, and 1 for ex-servicemen. Other trades, such as electrician, welder, and MP attendant, have fewer vacancies, with a maximum of 4 posts each.

Candidates applying for these positions must meet the required physical standards. The minimum height requirement is 170 cm for males and 157 cm for females. Relaxations in height are provided for candidates from specific regions, such as Garhwal, Kumaon, and the North Eastern states. Male candidates must also have a chest measurement of at least 80 cm (or 78 cm for certain categories), with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. The weight of the candidates should be proportionate to their height and age.

The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 23 years as of August 1, 2025. However, candidates from reserved categories, including SC, ST, and OBC, as well as ex-servicemen, are eligible for age relaxations ranging from 3 to 5 years.
