BPSC Prelims Result 2025

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced the preliminary examination results for several key recruitment drives on November 04, 2025. Candidates who appeared for these exams can now check their results on the official website, bihar.gov.in.

A standout highlight from this result announcement is the exceptionally high cutoff mark for the District Statistics Officer and Assistant Director posts, where the general category cutoff has reached a staggering 97 marks out of 150.

BPSC Results: A Quick Overview

The BPSC has published the preliminary results for the following competitive examinations:

  • District Statistics Officer & Assistant Director (Planning Dept., Bihar)
  • Mineral Development Officer
  • Vice Principal (Industrial Training Institutes & Equivalent)
  • Motor Vehicle Inspector

Here is a detailed, post-wise breakdown of the results and selection statistics.

1. District Statistics Officer & Assistant Director

This recruitment drive witnessed intense competition. A total of 3,415 candidates appeared for the preliminary competitive examination. Out of these, 574 candidates have successfully cleared the prelims and are eligible for the next stage.

2. Mineral Development Officer

For the post of Mineral Development Officer, 654 candidates appeared in the written examination. The commission has prepared a merit list based on the total marks obtained in all three subjects. Only 30 candidates have been declared successful and shortlisted for the interview round.

3. Vice Principal, Industrial Training Institutes (ITI)

The examination for the post of Vice Principal and equivalent in ITIs saw a massive turnout of 8,138 candidates. The competition was fierce, with only 139 candidates making it to the interview round.

4. Motor Vehicle Inspector

For the Motor Vehicle Inspector posts, 1,469 candidates appeared in the examination. The BPSC has declared 81 candidates successful for the interview stage.

Step 1. Visit the official BPSC website: bihar.gov.in
Step 2. Look for the "Latest News" or "Results" section on the homepage.
Step 3. Find the link for the respective examination result you appeared for.
Step 4. Click on the link; a PDF file of the result/merit list will open.
Step 5. Use Ctrl+F to search for your roll number or name.
Step 6. Download the PDF and take a printout for future reference.

The shortlisted candidates must now start preparing for the next stage of the selection process, which typically involves a main written examination and/or an interview.
