How can I upload transactions using an excel file?



  1. Click on Add Transaction - Go to Stocks - Go to Upload Excel option

  2. Download the Excel template

  3. Make sure the Macro is enabled. If it is not enabled, you will see a yellow band above the formula bar

  4. You can read about how to enable a macro here - Macro instructions

  5. At the bottom, you will find a tab named "Input". You will need to enter your trade details in this “Input” tab. Click on it once you are ready to enter your trade details

  6. All the details in the yellow background are mandatory in the Input tab. You can also fill in optional details not marked in yellow.

  7. If there is any issue with your Input, you will be shown the relevant error in the first column in the “Input” tab. The overall status of your Input will be displayed on this page, below instructions.

  8. Once you see the message "Input is valid", you can generate the Output file. Output file will be generated in the same folder where you have stored the excel utility.

  9. Upload the csv file named "Excel_Upload_V5.csv" in Moneycontrol.com.

Note: You can upload a maximum of 100 records in a single file.
