If I sell my fund, how will I get my money back?


Once you sell your fund (in full or part,) your money will be directly credited to your account. Moneycontrol does not participate in your monetary transactions with the Mutual Funds Company. The credit happens directly to your bank account from the AMC (Mutual Fund Company.)
If you started a sell transaction before the cut-off time on a working day, then you will receive funds in your account in 1-2 working days.
Cut-off time for various funds:
• Equity, Hybrid and Debt Funds – 3:00 PM
• Liquid Funds – 1:30 PM
So if you place an order to sell mutual funds on Friday at 4:00 PM. Your order will be taken up for processing on Monday. (Assuming Monday is a working day.) And you should receive the money in your bank account by Wednesday. (Assuming Tuesday and Wednesday are working days.)However, if you start the process on a Wednesday at 2:30 PM, then the money will be credited to your account on Thursday or Friday. (Assuming Thursday and Friday are working days.)
