It's Deepika Padukone's birthday today. The actor has reportedly turned 40. Most of us who have seen her journey up close will agree to this that the actor is disciplined when it comes to her workouts and diet to look the way she does. Of course, the actor is blessed with great genes too. However, her lifestyle habits too are inspiring.
If you're someone who wants to ace the fitness game like Deepika Padukone, you just need to commit yourself, be dedicated, consistent and be more intentional.
Revealing about her fitness secret, Deepika once shared on Instagram, that she follows a balanced diet. You will be surprised to know that the actor too, just like some of you, likes to munch on french fries, gorge on brownies and other delicious things. However, she understands the importance of moderation and swears by it.
The key thing to highlight here is that the actor is not into fad diets. She follows a diet that is sustainable over a long period of time.
Deepika does a mix of things. She enjoys her pilates sessions as much as she likes doing strength training and playing badminton. Her focus is always on improving her posture, flexibility and strength. When you see her pilates videos, you can't help but wonder how she does it with so much finesse. In fact, even after embracing motherhood, the actor is back to doing what she loves and that is pilates.

The mental health advocate also celebrated the self-care month last year and she posted on her snap of doing a yoga asana. She wrote, "It’s no secret that I love a good workout. And that I don’t work out to ‘look good’ but in fact to ‘feel fit’. Exercise has been part of my lifestyle for as long as I can remember." Referring to the pose, she added, "However, whenever I can’t fit in a workout, I practice *This Simple 5-Minute Routine. TBT, I practice this routine everyday! I find it especially useful after a long flight or even just to decompress." She event went on to list the benefits of legs-up-the-wall pose and shared that from supporting lymphatic and glymphatic systems to promoting the flow of oxygenated blood, it does a lot of things to keep both mental and physical health in check.
In fact, she also did a movie called Gehraiyaan where she played the role of a yoga instructor. To ace the role, Deepika went to great lengths to ace the yoga asanas. Celebrity yoga instructor Anshuka Parwani told Vogue that the actor nailed the headstand on the first go.
If you see Deepika's workout videos with a little bit of envy, it is alright. She does it like a pro even if she is new at things, and that's her flex. Clearly, we all can take a lot of inspiration from the actor.
