Drinking water for hydration in itself has many health benefits. But some people can find it boring. If you are always on the lookout for alternatives, then this is for you. These 5 ingredients, when fused with water, are excellent for your body. Additionally, they are enjoyable for their fresh flavours and offer better hydration.

Cucumber: It not only has a refreshing flavour but also high water content, which helps to increase fluid intake and stay hydrated. It supports gut health by flushing out toxins. Its antioxidant properties protect the cells from damage, making it a suitable alternative to regular water.

Lemon: Lemon contains citric acid, which can support digestion by stimulating digestive enzymes. It supports a healthier function of the digestive tract and helps to balance stomach acid. It is rich in vitamin C, which boosts immune function and supports collagen. Additionally, it supports heart health as well. Its zesty, tangy flavour is refreshing, making it most suitable for infused water.

Mint leaves: Adding mint leaves to your water is a great way of enhancing flavour. Mint infuses with the water when you let it rest for a few minutes, giving you a subtle fresh taste. It not only boosts hydration and freshens breath but also promotes good gut health.

Saunf: Saunf (fennel) has long been consumed for supporting better digestion and also relieving acidity and bloating. Saunf contains a compound called anethole, which stimulates the production of digestive enzymes. It reduces cramps and discomfort. It also offers several health benefits for the skin. Boil a teaspoon of crushed saunf in a pan with a cup of water for a few minutes and strain it. Soak it overnight to drink it in the morning.

Ajwain and jeera: Ajwain and jeera have carminative properties, which help relieve bloating, gas, and indigestion. They also boost metabolism and aid weight loss by promoting fat burn. Not only do they add flavour but also come with additional benefits for the stomach, so consuming it in the morning is the best thing you can do for your body.
