Popular actor Yash, renowned for his role in KGF, is set to star in the highly anticipated action thriller Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is currently in production and is being shot in both Kannada and English to appeal to a global audience. The release date for the film has now been announced.
Director Geetu Mohandas shared that Toxic is crafted to tell a story that transcends language and cultural barriers. She highlighted that the team has worked hard to ensure the film captures the essence of both Kannada and English, aiming to create an authentic experience for a broad range of viewers.
The initial release date for the film was set for 10th April 2025.
Yash, who plays the lead role, took to Instagram to announce the release date for Toxic. He shared a new thrilling poster with the release date "19.3.26" and captioned it, "19-03-2026" with folded hand emojis.
The plot of Toxic revolves around a drug cartel in Goa, exploring themes of power and morality. Yash plays the lead role in this high-intensity action film. Kiara Advani stars as Yash’s love interest, while Nayanthara plays his sister. Huma Qureshi takes on the role of the film’s antagonist, and Akshay Oberoi joins the cast, marking his debut in Kannada cinema.
As per reports, Kiara Advani is getting a whopping amount of Rs 15 crore for her role in the film.

The film is being made with international standards in mind. The action sequences are choreographed by JJ Perry, known for his work on John Wick and Fast & Furious, while the visual effects are being handled by DNEG, the BAFTA-winning team behind Dune: Part Two.
A teaser titled Birthday Peek was released on Yash’s birthday, offering fans a glimpse into the dark and intense world of Toxic. The teaser features Yash in a gritty club setting, walking confidently through the scene. It is a dialogue-free clip, enhanced by background music composed by London-based musician Jeremy Stack.
