The hit teen romance series XO, Kitty has officially completed filming for its third season in Seoul, South Korea, with Netflix expected to drop the new episodes sometime in early 2026—likely by March. While an official release date hasn’t been confirmed by the streaming giant, all signs are pointing to a first-quarter premiere.
Director Michael Medico, who’s helmed multiple episodes of the series, confirmed the wrap on social media earlier this month. He shared a behind-the-scenes moment from the final shoot, writing, “That’s a wrap on block 3, season 3 of XO Kitty and my time in Seoul. I fell in love with this city and cast and crew. XO, Medico.”
Season 3 will pick up with Kitty Song Covey entering her third semester at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS). If Season 2 was packed with emotional cliffhangers, Season 3 promises even deeper dives into romantic entanglements and evolving friendships. Though creators are keeping the plot under wraps, early reports hint at the introduction of new characters, fresh twists, and more complications in Kitty’s already tangled love life.
The series, a spinoff of Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, has built a loyal following with its mix of heartfelt storytelling, Korean cultural setting, and charismatic cast. With Season 3, fans are expecting the so-called “MoonCovey endgame” to finally take shape—referring to Kitty’s unresolved love triangle.
Production on Season 3 began in April 2025 and was initially scheduled to wrap by June. However, filming extended into mid-July, suggesting extra content or possibly longer episodes are on the way. That’s good news for viewers who can’t get enough of the show’s drama, charm, and Seoul cityscapes.
Netflix has yet to release a teaser or trailer, but the current buzz suggests the platform is gearing up for a March 2026 premiere. Until then, fans have time to rewatch the first two seasons and speculate about what’s next for Kitty and her circle of friends.
