Bridgerton Season 4 welcomes a new cast member

Bridgerton fans have yet another reason to get excited for Season 4! The hit Netflix series, already beloved for its engaging stories and dazzling cast, is adding a fresh face, Gracie McGonigal.

According to Radio Times, McGonigal will portray a new character named Hazel — a young maid who, despite facing significant hardships, is lively, energetic, and quickly forms bonds with others. Hazel's addition is particularly significant because McGonigal will become the first cast member with a congenital deficiency on the show, marking an important step toward greater inclusivity.

Gracie McGonigal is already making a name for herself in the theater world. She starred in the Olivier Award-nominated musical The Little Big Things in 2023 and played Abigail in the acclaimed National Theatre production of The Crucible. On screen, she appeared in an episode of Amazon Prime Video’s sci-fi drama The Power.

McGonigal's casting follows another exciting announcement, Yerin Ha has also joined the Season 4 lineup. Ha will play Sophie, who is set to become the love interest of Benedict Bridgerton (portrayed by Luke Thompson).

Season 4 will spotlight Benedict Bridgerton, the second-eldest sibling in the family, known for resisting the idea of settling down. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Sophie Baek at a masquerade ball hosted by Violet Bridgerton. Benedict is immediately smitten, unaware that Sophie harbours a major secret—she’s actually a maid.

Season 4 will see the return of many fan-favourite characters, alongside exciting new entries. Here's the full confirmed cast:
