When Esha Deol slapped Amrita Rao on the sets of Pyaare Mohan and denied regretting it later: "She deserved it for her behaviour"

During the filming of Pyaare Mohan, Esha got into a fight with Amrita Rao after slapping her and later claiming she didn't regret it.

Esha Deol, the daughter of Bollywood icons Dharmendra and Hema Malini, made her Bollywood debut with the romantic thriller Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe in 2002 and went on to win the Best Actress Debut Filmfare award. Esha is a trained Odissi dancer and has appeared in a number of films, including Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, No Entry, Darling, and others. Esha Deol and her co-star Amrita Rao reportedly got into a fight during the filming of "Pyaare Mohan," which is one of the most talked-about controversies of the mid-2000s.

During the filming of Pyaare Mohan, Esha got into a fight with Amrita Rao after slapping her and later claiming she didn't regret it. Both actresses decided to keep quiet for a while, allowing rumours to circulate. But during a candid conversation, Esha finally broke her silence and confirmed the incident.

In an interview with Times of India previously, she revealed that the altercation started after Amrita allegedly mistreated her in front of the crew and director Indra Kumar following pack-up. Esha acknowledged that she felt extremely disrespected and that her natural reaction was to protect her honour.

She stated, "Yes, I slapped her because she crossed a line. It was a matter of self-respect. I have no regrets because, at that moment, she deserved it for her behaviour."

The Dhoom actor further explained that her reaction was an emotional response to an intolerable situation, and she emphasized that it wasn’t typical behavior for her. She also expressed that it was important to assert herself in front of her team.

Esha clarified that after the incident, Amrita realized her mistake and apologized. "She apologized to me, and I forgave her. Everything is fine between us now," Esha shared. Even though they haven't collaborated since that specific schedule, Esha said she was sure that professionalism would persist in their future projects if it happens. She added that she wanted to address the unfounded rumours and correct the record, which is why she decided to speak out at this time.

On the professional front, Esha Deol most recently starred with Adah Sharma and Anupam Kher in the movie Tumko Meri Kasam.
